I'm getting more and more used to the swing of things. Portales is still super confusing but I am slowly understanding the roads here. People are still mostly nice. I have yet to have a negative experience with people other than just simple declining. It's still pretty difficult to get a hold of people and meet with them consistently, but we'll get there. We're trying and that's what really matters.
Fast Sunday was great. We saw some less actives, that we had previously talked to there, which is awesome to see. The testimony meeting was good as well. I understood quite a bit of what people were saying. I'm excited for when I can understand native speakers completely.
I'm less fearful to speak in lessons now. Before I'd worry so much about what I would say, then I learned that it's not something I should be so worried about. As long as I show my love for the person and can share truths that I know will help them, it'll turn out great.
BELOW: As for interesting stuff this week, Elder Cichoski, who is serving in Clovis and is in my district, burned his shirt for his one year mark.
BELOW: Saturday night we went to part of the English ward's variety show. Elder Zeagler juggled apples, and him and Elder Field then did a "Thank you" letters bit from Jimmy Fallon (which I sadly forgot to record).
BELOW: It's been storming quite a bit this past week and one night we wanted to get some pictures of the lightning and some turned out pretty well!
Anyway things are going well and I am learning more every day (I'm getting a bit better at staying awake in personal study each day). Have a great week everyone!
Elder Lewis
